My Favorite Suzhou

Everyone has their preference of their favorite and I go for Suzhou.

In my opinion Suzhou gives me the feeling like when I was at Melbourne and a little bit of Petaling Jaya- Home. It has everything you need and it's not too buzzy.

I couldn't rate Suzhou any less as it's a tick for everything. Specialities, weather, food and for guys pretty girls ! So sad no good looking guys perhaps my taste are towards Caucasian guys so, no guys to gaze at.

Ever wonder the secret to the beauties of Suzhou girls? The answer is simple - Silk worms!! They consume their traditional supplements which consist of nutrients made from silk worms, wear clothes made of silk and used blankets made from silk !! What a way to pamper oneself. The tour guide mention that in a way the protein in silk still remains therefore people's skin gets better after using silk. In fact the comforter made from silk could help to prevent arthritis "fong sap" same concept as how the silk worm protects itself from winter.

God's creation is so beautiful and great when you think of how a simple living insect can bless in so many ways. Right from the beginning of it's life circle could be used as supplements,nutrients, comforter, bed spread, cloth and clothing....

The process of making silk really impressed me. It made me wonder who was the founder that found a way of creating silk from silk worms - a genius. Our tour guide lady "xiao zhou" said there was no definite person it was a tradition pass down from their ancestor.

Now lets not scream when talking bout food. Which Malaysian isn't a food lover. My family and I were well brought to dine for lunch at this most well known noodle shop in Suzhou.

Story Behind

They say this place used to be a stop for the Chinese Emperor. Therefore the people here strive their best to create the most delicious noodle for the emperor which is called "soo tong poh mian".

From the noodle, to the non-halal meat- pork and to the essence of the soup could make people fly to cloud nine - it was incredibly delicious!! The noodle was bouncy and Slurpee smooth, the pork meat was marinated till the finest and the soup was so tasty! Definitely not MSG cause Chinese people at china don't really used them I feel that they are pretty authentic in their food it's either tasteless or tasty. Unlike Malaysian food where hawkers puts heaps of MSG and after eating our lips becomes really dry, most of the food in china that we had the chance to try didn't made our lips dry and cracky after meal therefore i strongly believe it's NOT MSG, totally pure freshness? They even gave us the side dish which was a marinated fish and was one of the best fish cuisine I've ever tasted. It was sweet and salty.

In Suzhou we also visited a famous architect's building, his name is I.M PEI. He migrated to America when he was young and became a well-known architect. He designed his last building, a Museum at his hometown Suzhou right beside a mansion his family last live in. It was pretty impressive.

We visited a few Traditional Chinese Houses which have pretty much similarities to the baba nyonya houses in malacca for the interior. Whereby males gets more attention more extravagance added to their belongings. Female gets more simple settings. So grateful the world is changing.

After dinner, we visited this area that has a Singapore Orchard Street concept. The reason to thisis because this part of Suzhou has many investors from Singapore. Therefore the Government has somewhat dedicate this place to them. It's a pretty place with colourful lights and a beautiful lake.

We could roam the whole place till Sunrise but it was time to leave with a heavy heart we hop up our half full tour bus.

The Best of Shanghai

As said by our tour guide Shanghai is a “grey scale TV” in the morning. There was much to distress since almost everywhere was dusty, hazy making skyscrapers that were spouting here and there in this fastest growing city cool but rather dull looking. It puts salt to the wound when the majority of Shanghainese you encounter with were crude and uncivil. However just by the breath taking view of the city at night where the tour guide call it the “Colour TV”, you forget everything and absorbed by the world around you.

The encounter with the clown has inspired me to make a clown group in facebook.

Because there ain't any clown group in Malaysia at least not of many people know of so if anyone know where clown can be connected together please inform me! for now lets try to connect clowns by the facebook group yea.

Pastor Nancy's Building a team has taught me a lot on team spirit, the importance of working together instead of a lone ranger. the day when i finally be able to put into practice what i have learn will be anticipating :)

Ruth Tan's Teaching to change Lives was also very inspiring. Ruth Tan is truly a very Good teacher it's awesomeness to have met such a wonderful teacher.

If given another chance to the conference i will also like to attend John Coen's Black Light Puppetry!

Art For Children Subject.

Is my favorite when it comes to practical (not theory) besides Child Development sub. by Dr. Datin Jamaluddin n Language Art by Prof. Mazlan.

The Art for Children (Theory) Lecturer can put us to sleep with his dull tone and unhearable voice *sigh . Nevertheless we are always looking forward for practical lessons cos that's when Adults get to have fun like KIDS !!!

Then and there, we were asked to use our BARE hands n NO Brushes to produce an Art Piece !

Mind boggling, some images popping in and out. I was very tempted to be done with a bubbly and passionate kindergarten painting (Eg. Butterfly, Chicken, Peacock) where one can use the shape of their hands to stamp and create an animal figure maybe? - I refused! a vase of Rose was what came first in mind whereby i can stamp using the bottom of my fist (the swirl) when you clench your palm so i went all out just taking lumps of paint n smudging n spreading on the art paper with ma fingers! my fist was small n the rose didn't look like rose. Initially, i was disappointed and smudge the roses.. i then decided to just use finger prints to make petals and little did i realise i was absorb into the World of Van Gogh.

HAve you ever tried painting with your BAre Hands?? Try! It's so fulfilling compared to using brushes. It was limit-less of expression, fun and joyous moment! Jane and I couldn't stop proclaiming the joyfulness of getting our hands dirty.

(realising different fingers for different effects. Even printing with the tip of your nails or scratching the lumpy paint dreadfully on the art paper was something else) *evil laugh.

My 1st Event Job for the Ox Year

MiFF 2009

The Economy downturn little did I know that is getting worse until i heard from people around me of how slow businesses is these day.

Well, that's the furthest of my concern cause what matters most this time of sacrificing not taking care of my own business and taking care of other people business has to have a good reason to do so.

I'll have to thank Miff for the opportunity to be involved in their international business once again and how a great event acquires great teamwork from all departments.

Tomorrow will be my last day at work I plan to make full use of the leave taken from mom to work OT for them.

Overall of this whole week of event I made a conclusion of different faces of behavior/ attitude people faces intentionally or unintentionally during the event.

I realize that there are people who are really very professional when they are working. In some way they are able to focus on their task "seriously" and tackle them perfectly claim and skillfully. All at once, able to socialize well with their colleagues and perform their duty for the day.

Secondly, there are people who seek “Fun” in all they do even at work till unintentionally tend to slack. Let’s just say they really enjoyed their day but they know at the end of their day they have achieve so-so or even more insensitively – learn nothing at work but had great fun with people around them!

There are also people who can switch to “working mode” and when the clock hits time's up “work is over” switches to their “happening mode” and make lotsa monkey noise and fun. I really envy this bunch. :)

Try guessing which face am I? Do comment which face are you or which one do you want to be or tend to be or are you all of them? :P thanks!

Genting 2D1N

It's been awhile since i last went Genting,

not a place i will die to go to but who will say no to a fully sponsored trip!!

Hotel Room, KFC dinner, First World Buffet breakfast and Lunch at Genting International Convention Centre (GICC)

- there was just nothing to worry about except friends.hehe..

Most awesome of all was the Platinium seat (VIP) tickets provided to the AIA agents and their guest to attend the "Champion Star Concert" @ Arena of Stars.

i didn't fancy her english songs however she was really good at interacting with her audience, very sporting! She sang the "pang yao" song by Alan Tam as requested by the MC and it was two thumbs up! Geng R! She also sang her famous "Awan yang terpilu" song and yeah pamie had goosebumps all over it was great.

Reshmonu was there too.

so much to write about this event but im just too lazy..

It may not be what it is at the end of the day but
it's worth to remember as it May All Begin from This Day.

Today pam pam was super duper pissed after kindy.

Jeez kindy concert is coming up and tension is up in the air...

Anyway i was super annoyed till i din wanna go lunch with mom.
(So tired.. why can't i work with my mom. I dun get it.. Does every family business happen this way? I dun think so.. seeing those restaurant business children helping their parent oso no problemo.dang..what's my freaking problem? i rather don't help than get angry..)

I ended up in Putra Jaya!! :P

Yeah..Used up pretty much of the petrol but the strolling was really Fun & Calming...

I'm quite familiar with the Putra Jaya roads Already...hehe

However many parks and "so called" important sign boards leads to undergoing constructions. Many places are still not quite ready one of them is the Taman Wetland. There are actually so many huge parks in Putra Jaya but most of them still very quiet so cant go Alone...

I really like the architecture there especially those bridges and lamp post..

Then saw some people kayaking at the lake so pamie decided to stop by this place called THE LAKE CLUB. the place is quite a nice place for chatting with clients or just higher-end hangging out place. White canopy covering the outer side of the lifted lake side Restaurant/CAfe facing a very scenic view of the Putra Jaya Lake. Under the club house is a storage of kayaks and sailing boats for members and non-members to rent.

I decided to ask about the the sailing course and how to be the member there.

Wee~ and Guess What?

Lifetime membership is only RM1000!! however there is still an additional RM50 fee per month required (quite expensive atm considering going there just few times a month) but they will be building another premise where there will be other sports facilities and gym(then the membership definitely gonna increase) currently all they have now is 20% -off dining in their cafeteria, cheaper boat rents and free swimming pool for club members.

Yay! Very tempting! wanna be their member when i save enough :)

So far,Im just considering their Beginners Sailing course- RM288 for 2 day coaching lessons and the other 4 days we need to rent our own boat and wee~ Lets Sail by our self out in the sea~lake. RM 288 is considered the shortest and cheapest crash-course to learn to sail. so lets not miss the chance ;) ..
Really felt like sailing far far away with no worries or anything to care about..hehe!

Anybody INTERESTED in this Sport?! :P

the next course is starting end of October.

okies! time for dinner then swimming!

First week of September update ! Weee~

yatta~! how is everybody? i really miss a few people for staying at home so long. Jun wei sorry couldn't go out this week, Kelly sigh i didn't go CG, Trisha my CG leader, Mei shuen my kai mui for not talking to her so long. i miss but don't miss my siblings that much for i have been emailing them pretty often.Last but not least will be my archi college buddies that are almost all the time busy with asg i guess.lol

Finally I had the mood to spring clean my blog. Life has been just too busy, if i spend time blogging i wouldn't have the time to do adventurous things and if i'm busy doing adventurous things how would I find time to blog. makes sense doesn't it..? *evil grins. (okay..pamie stop Bshitting. XP)

Monday - public holiday!! yatta~ it's my favorite!! Ever since stopping college I look forward to school holidays because I've been so attached to the kindergarten. So school holiday = no need to work at kindy!! Pamie went bed hunting with mommie at Ikea. Ended up buying mom's kitchen gadgets which is giving ikea more business by buying something not really a necessity*sigh. Was suppose to go back to Ikea to buy the foldable bed that i fell in love with in Scotland, moreover it was at merdeka promotional price but i had a De-briefing meeting at church. So i guess there goes my woolgathering to refurnish my currently livable room :) *shall be contented with what i have compared to the Orang Ibans in Nanga NgunNgun village. oh ya..by coincidence I bump into Pris and her family while trying to get some groceries at tesco. It was so crowded! awful~ hate shopping with crowds...


Tuesday - September teacher's meeting. Very unproductive for myself as i was too stress up with the work load mom has put on me. In charge of the nursery dance and need to monitor both kindergartens singing and dance practises? How i wish i could spilt my self. The sudden obligation caused me to lose my confidence and deep deep in my heart the childish person was moaning why her mom hires so many staffs but ask her child to do everything and and I know not how to do those things. I'm no super woman mom...but i guess she just wants to train me to be a more responsible person. God...i have so much to learn and change but but this stubborn mind is just not submitting to your orders :(...

Wednesday - was back to kindy time. Ever since coming back from the mission trip I've been pretty restless. Going to work seems difficult but when I'm in the kindy the whole atmosphere changed and I'm back to the bubbly and enthusiastic mood. This time in the season is time for practicing concert performance for the children. I'm learning so much from Mrs. Julia. Wow she's a really hot lady for her age when she starts dancing, that's line dancer for you.*giggles. back in high school or primary school i was always shy when it comes to performances or dances didn't thought that being back in the kindergarten will be the place where my interest for dancing arises :) . I didn't realise it's that FUN and funny. haha~ After Kindy was time for another round of adventure. Have anyone receive an annoying magazine in your post box named BLAST? uh-huh. I was doing a distribution of the magazine in Tesco and Bangsar LRT while waiting for the after-work crowd in LRT station I followed my colleague of the day, Karen to Condos at Taman Tun to distribute the magazine to the management office. The thought of travelling in a black 4WD with Blast sticker all around just like those Hitz dot FM crew was quite interesting.

Thursday - I was stuck at home because of lethargic at work i accidentally twisted/ sprain my ankle while running down the stairs the day before. How clumsy -.- sighs* It really hurt the night before and now i walk like humpty- dumpty and feel like one. However it's pretty fun as i get to stay at home with the lappytoppy kai gor bought for me and edit my Sarawak video which i want to finish by this weekend so that i can submit to the mission centre. Ah~ the "video" is quite bad but i don't want to be a "perfectionist" anymore I'll just put in my best.

Friday - I woke up late and missed my appointment with the Bone specialist doctor at TTDI Apollo because i was chatting with Johninho till 4a.m. this morning. Mom was really angry at me for being irresponsible but truly i have recovered heaps after cold compressing my ankle for 2 days and eating traditional medication that's why i didn't felt like going. Mom has been pretty frustrated with me for being unproductive these days.yaiks...that's what i hate most bout myself being a 'Spotainer' person instead of a 'Planner' kind of person. sigh* so after lunch i went back to lappietoppie and continue editing my s'wak video while checking my Facebook (friends for sale!). Mymy..I'm definitely going to get my consequences for slacking at home. The worst thing was skipping CG really i feel like I'm straying away it's not my intention to skip CG actually but I haven't pulled up my confidence to tell him off that i find that guy in church very very annoying. Well i hope time heals and he will realise it himself...but mean while it's not fair that i have to keep charging my phone for the million miss calls~!

Sunday - Church celebration and Mei Ling and Carol is going to come over my place to pray for my room and house. :)

meanwhile hope I'll have the time to post the few trips I've been to the pass few months. Yay. hopefully no more dusty blog again.
